hey man, i've been trying to install openmeeting, but i've couldnt finish it, i donwloaded red5 from the official page and the service work perfectly, the problem is when i try to install openmeeting using, http://localhost:5080/openmeetings/install, i hit the install button and the web explorer never recive the answer of the localhost.

i've donwloaded
openmeetings_1_7_0_r3822.zip
and pasted in red5 folder red5/webapps
i've edited the hibernate.cfg
i've pasted openmeetings in moodle as well.

best regards.

http://code.google.com/p/openmeetings/downloads/list

 openmeetings_1_7_0_r3822.zip

Hi Ivon,

I am still wondering why and where people got the information to copy any files around.

The process of installation of OpenMeetings is that simple:
Download the ZIP, unpack it, edit the hibernate.cfg.xml, start the server, => run the installer.

Nowhere is written down to download Red5 separated and copy anything around.

in this moment i have another question, when i open the module in a course for example, the openmeetings starts good and every thing is perfect, but when i tried to add another things at the end of the page, something like a  textarea for claims and a button, it just dont print, neither the footer.

it just print until the openmeetings window, if i want to do that, what can i do?

thanks for you patient

After unzipping and running
you need to go to http://localhost:5080/openmeetings/install
fill the data (user name/pass, organization etc.)
and press Install.

Please NOTE you should use username not less than 6 chars (not sure
about exact number but 6 is long enough)
and password not less than 4 chars (I would use 6)
The data will silently NOT created if user name/password will be too
short

are you sure that the data is successfully imported?
The import process takes around 30 seconds.

If the import is finished it will show a page that it is completed.
Do you reach that step or not?
