OpenMC developers,

I'd like to get another version of OpenMC out the door soon since there have been a number of important bug fixes and improvements since our last release. The next release won't have any input/output changes, so it will increment the release number (0.6.2). I'd like to defer larger changes that will modify input/output options to a version 0.7 that we can start working on once 0.6.2 is done.

As an inventory of open pull requests:
  • Version 0.6.2
    • #343, Kinematics constraint for energy grid searches (Reviewer: PR, waiting for sync with develop branch)
    • #339, Support for OpenMPI (Reviewer: ???)
    • #348, Two physics improvements and NNDC data fixes (Reviewer: ???)
  • Version 0.7
    • #313, hexagonal lattices (Reviewer: PR)
    • #346, tally moment order strings in statepoint (Reviewer: PR)
    • #298, Tally triggers (Reviewer: PR, still needs work)
  • Others
    • #331, Python API (waiting for OpenCG to be open sourced)
    • #309, NDPP data (probably join with OpenMC-specific data preprocessor that includes support for photon data)

The main thing we need right now is reviewers for the two pull requests I submitted, #339 and #348. Any volunteers to handle these? #339 should be a very simple review (Matt: I know you expressed interest before; let me know if you still have time to review).

Best regards,
Paul

Paul,

I can do #339.  Just got done with M&C paper, so I should have time to do that.  I will make it a priority.
