Today, I am proud to release version 2.0 of OpenLoopz for Android 2.2 and above!

I am still working hard on OpenLoopz Web and the sync facility so this is an Android-only release for now, but so much has changed, I wanted to get it out there to get some feedback on the new features.

Check out the blog post for an in-depth look at the new features and let me know what you think!

Regards,
Paul

very very nice update!!!

I have just a couple of considerations:
* the diameter of 1000 meters for defining places is too small for me. If I'm not wrong, previously it was possible to define places within a larger diameter than 1km
* why not use expandable notification and show, in such a way, also the tilte of active actions/actions that became active in notification bar?
* repeating actions... I will miss them? :)

Hi Gabrielle,

Glad to hear you like the new release and thank you for your feedback!

You're right - it was possible to specify any distance in the previous version and it has been limited to 1km in the current version.  I will have a fix for this in the next minor release.

Expandable notifications are definitely in the pipeline but all efforts are focused on the webapp and sync right now, but expect this feature soon after!

As for repeating actions, it was difficult decision to remove the feature but unfortunately there was no choice as the implementation was incompatible with the webapp and sync.  Repeating actions will definitely be making a return once the webapp is complete and it will be a much improved implementation.

Regards,
Paul.

Very nice release! Still trying to get used to it, it's a bit confusing that a lot of things appeared from lists that I use for someday/maybe. Also that things are not groupped according to contexts on the home screen. Still I kinda understand the concept, and will see if it works for me.

One improvement suggestion, if it's possible with the Android UI: when selecting a context from the popup list, accept the selection immediately without having to click OK. Reduces clicks needed to select a context by 50%, BAM! :)
