Let me preface this small write-up with the fact that OpenLoopz is THE
BEST GTD app available on the Android and the competition is not even
close. I even like OpenLoopz better than what I used to use when I
was on a Mac + iPhone combo (OmniFocus for both). And that's where
this is leading me...

When I ditched my iPhone, I ditched the OmniFocus desktop+mobile
client solution I had been using for a year that had kept me on task
and running an efficient life for that duration. I found OpenLoopz
and was extremely excited with what I saw, but didn't see a "desktop"
version of the client (or web based, whatever). I thought I'd stick
it out in hopes we'd see a desktop solution soon and figured I'd still
be able to keep on top of things...

However I couldn't. 5 months later and my life and everything about
is much less efficient: tasks aren't being completed in a timely
fashion, some tasks aren't even being tracked, I forget lots of
things, etc. I'm attributing this to a lack of a desktop solution
because I just don't want to do all my major GTD "book keeping" on a
4" candy bar. This may not be a problem for others, but it's a
problem for me. In the meantime I'm giving another hard look at some
of the web+Android based clients that I looked at previously, as well
as few new entrants to see if they've added enough functionality to
allow a working GTD solution.

I hope the developer(s) of OpenLoopz can find some way to crank out a
syncable desktop solution at some point. If they do, they'll win me
back and I'd be willing to pay a premium for the service. Hell I
shelled out $100 for my Omni combo, I'd be willing to shell that out
for a similar solution for my Android based device.

Thank you for your positive feedback and sorry to see you go. It's feedback like this that motivate us to work even harder than we already are to get OpenLoopz Web launched ASAP! We sympathise with your situation and hope you will return when OpenLoopz Web is released.  

Please continue to keep an eye on this forum as we will be posting an announcement next week and going forward we will definitely be in a position to keep users regularly informed of progress.  We can only apologise that we haven't been able to do this sooner.

Before you go, it would be a great help to us if you have the time to briefly highlight the main features of OpenLoopz that single it out for you as the best GTD app for Android.

What I liked about OpenLoopz was it was a true GTD app written to be
that...not some task list manager that was bastardized to allow you to
do GTD (which is what most of the other solutions are out there).
From Next Actions, to Projects, to the review itself, every aspect of
GTD was covered. The bastardized task lists just don't feel like GTD
solutions because you're having to conform your workflow to their
solution, which is something that was never compromised with
OpenLoopz.
