I saw that OL creates an Excel button that points to an <MyEntity>/Excel method that doesn't exist.
Any suggestions ? :-)

Hi Emiliano,

OpenLegacy has a default controller class which handle all REST api call and also export to excel.
We added last week the ability to generate a custom Java controller, which can take over the default behavior.

You can use it to generate different URL mapping and add custom code to controllers.

Maybe I didn't understand, but in the autogenerated controller of my entity I can't found any method for Excel export. Am I wrong ?
No need to add a custom method if you have one that handle it correctly.

PS: where I can found/see this new features ?

The excel NPE was fixed.
You need to update your maven JAR's (typically updated automatically).

The new generated REST controller is a Java server side generated controller. You need to update the IDE, via help -> check for updates.
It's available via project right click, OpenLegacy -> Generate REST controller

Try to update OpenLegacy via Help -> "Install New Software"
And update from URL:

Uncheck "Contact all updatesites..."

TY!

I tested the Excel export on a WP 8.1 phone, but I can't open file (office is installed with the os)

The excel implementation is producing HTML table, with excel content type (which opens well on desktop excel).
It's a known issue that it's not opened on mobile device.

Let us know if it's critical for your project, and we will raise it's priority.
