Drag-and-drop WMS to a portal with an embedded Openlayer panel

Hi all,

We are working on a project to ingest the geo-spatial dataset (via QGIS/PostGIS) and then publish it as WMS/WFS/WCS in GeoServer.

Then we need to design a catalog portal to render the dataset.

We like to add an embedded openlayer-enabled map viewer (similar to what geonetwork has) to our portal, which has the base map (like Google Street) and then drag-and-drop the WMS (via uri link) into it.

Is it doable? Any helps on the sample link, hints and suggestions are much appreciated.
