How do I connect Kinect to My PC?

Hi

I am new here, infact this is my first post.
I got the 4gb kinect model.

The port It has is shown in this Image

Its not the standard USB port. How can I connect the kinect to my pC?
Some Adapter?

Either get a Kinect USB adapter as per @KhnumCodes link or you should get a new Xbox that comes with a special port/cord. Go to sites that show pinouts and take kinect's pinout so as to create a custom cable if you are of the geeky type!

You are right, try to make a cable that connects datastreams with
pixelrates above /(whatever ghz rate)
and try to solder it by yourself. But please don't ask us questions
why the hell your kinect sporadic
doesn't work :)

U need the power adapter fro the kinect...
