I've never really intended to be the sole maintainer of the repo but it
seems facts lead to that.
https://github.com/uclouvain/openjpeg/pull/1654 will better reflect the
situation that the repo has no maintainer.

Should I have been watching anywhere else too?

What are the issues you are facing as a sole maintainer and what can we do to
help?
