Hello,

I am trying to install OpenJPIP on a Mac OS X Lion, and I have to say that I had some problems on doing it. I have to say that I am new with OpenJPEG, so excuse me if I don't make the point.

I have followed the steps of JPIPwiki ( http://code.google.com/p/openjpeg/wiki/JPIP ) so I have installed and configured: the apache2, mySQL and php.
I also have installed the FastCGI module following the instructions from the FastCGI site ( http://www.fastcgi.com/mod_fastcgi/INSTALL.AP2 ).

Everything went fine until I had to configure the webserver for supporting the FastCGI, I couldn't find the way to configure the webserver in particular I had problems on doing "You need a webserver running with the fastcgi module enabled and correctly configured. For Apache, add the following line to your /etc/apache2/mods-available/fastcgi.conf configuration file: FastCGIExternalServer /var/www/myFCGI -host localhost:3000".

I would like to ask if somebody have installed and used OpenJPIP on a Mac OS X and what steps has done to achieve it?
I would kindly ask if somebody can help me on running the OpenJPIP or to suggest what should I do?

Thank you in advance.
Best regards

Ok. so what is the issue here? What does your fastcgi.conf file looks
like ? Simply send it to the list:

$ cat fastcgi.conf

Thanks,

Hello,

thank you very much on replaying.

I'll write my steps how I have installed the fastCGI maybe it is easier to understand the situation:

$ cd mod_fastcgi-2.4.6/
$ cp Makefile.AP2 Makefile
# I had to change the path of apache: top_dir = /usr/share/httpd
$ make
$ make install
/usr/share/apr-1/build-1/libtool --silent --mode=install cp mod_fastcgi.la /usr/libexec/apache2/

The point is that I couldn't find the fastcgi.conf file. I don't know, it seams that has not been created!
This is why I don't know if I have messed up something or it just hasn't been created.

Thank you one more time.

This file is not part of the openjpeg dist. I guess this is either
from fastcgi module or apache directly. Please see with the proper
newsgroup for help.
