Hi all,

I have recently read paper under the title of "IRIS: The Openflow-based Recursive SDN Controller" and also I read documentation about OpenIRIS. There is just one question that I will appreciate the answer to. As mentioned in OpenIRIS documents,
" the vision was creating an sdn controller platform with the 3 features of :
1.Horizontal Scalability for carrier-grade network
2. High Availability with transparent failover from failure
3. Multi-domain support with recursive network abstraction based on Openflow
But not all the features are to be included in the opensource iris".
As my focus is on feature #3, I was wondering if this feature is available in the opensource code IRIS.

Thanks

Hi Farnoosh Satari,

This is Justin from ETRI.

Sorry for the late reply.

Unfortunately, those 3 features are not included in OpenIRIS.

OpenIRIS only contains features of a basic OpenFlow controller.

We are currently not working on OpenIRIS, so we cannot make any significant progress on IRIS or OpenIRIS for the time being.

Although, we are working on releasing a paper on #2 and #3 features, we cannot promise anything for now.

Regards,

Justin
