Meetup in Vegas

Hey folks,

Unfortunately, I will not be out for Black Hat this year, but I will be out for DefCon.

Anyone have an interest in trying to have an OpenIOC lunch or cocktail hour on Friday or Saturday? I'll have to look at the schedule and make sure I'm not doing it during something important like the beverage cooling competition ;-) -- but if folks are interested, sound off with preferred times and ideas, and I'll try to put it together.

My personal preference would be lunch at somewhere in Chinatown -- it's about a mile from the Rio, and much preferable to trying to actually eat at one of the restaurants in the hotel -- they have a great Vietnamese restaurant (probably Friday only, it's jammed on Saturday and Sunday afternoons) and an awesome (but somewhat small) Thai place, among others. And there always the infamous "meet up at the bar" routine (I'd pick the one by where they have the flying boat show, but obviously not while the show is going on).

Thoughts?

I'm down. I don't know my way around Vegas very well, but I'll be staying at the Flamingo from Tuesday through Sunday.

I think we'll do 3:30 (1530) on Friday the 27th at the Rio (that way people can just duck out for a few rather than having to go travel to a restaurant somewhere -- trying eat in the Rio is a little nuts.

Bar info to come shortly (I want to do the one by the flying ships, but I want to make sure there is not a show then).
