Feature Idea for ShoppingList

I would like to add a sync option to Shopping List app so that members of a family can sync the item it be purchased. Once any person of the family has purchased the product it appears checked on all list. It will require a server in web and a service in android thats syncs up the list. I thinks feature is very crucial in day to day life . We can send the invitation through mail and have permissions of each list stored in server.

Have you tried  OI Sync that was created during last year's Google summer of code?
There is still some work needed. Do you have the possibility to run your own server?

OI Sync has so far mainly focused on keeping data in sync between different devices used by the same person. Even at that level its support for OI Shopping List is quite limited. So yes, there is plenty of work needed in this area.

I couldn't find resources to OI Sync . can u provide me a link ? Yes i have a web server for but i can only use is for testing purpose. i could pursue and complete the sync functionality please provide me with resources to OI Sync.
