Environ-Mentality

A group exhibition of artists with an Openings affiliation. The show will examine various points

of view regarding the natural environment in the Anthropocene era.

Open Call

Please send a folder with up to 3 images in jpeg format (painting, photograph, mixed media,

assemblage) to Mark Brennan at market...@gmail.com

• Folder to be titled with artist’s full name.

• Images to be titled with artist’s name_ # 1 – 3, work title_ dimensions in inches.

• Please include a word document with your name, and list of images including the work

#, title of the work, dimensions, medium, date and price.

Eligibility Requirements

• Maximum size: +- 36 inches wide x 7 feet high. Small works can be stacked.

• Artwork must be wired for hanging – Sorry the gallery cannot accept sculpture as it is a

multi use space.

• No submission fee. Accepted artists will be asked to contribute $25 (check payable to

Openings) to cover costs of space rental, installation and reception.

• The gallery takes 20% commission, artists get a copy of buyer’s information and a check

after the close of the exhibition.

Hours: Monday – Friday 6:30 am – 9:30pm, Sat & Sun 8 am – 5pm.

Dates:

• Deadline to submit: Monday, February 19th @6 pm.

• Artwork Drop off – Saturday, March 30th / 10am – 12 pm at St. Paul the Apostle Church -

405 West 59th Street New York City, NY 10019

• Opening Reception at Gallery – Saturday, April 6th – 2-5 pm.

• Exhibition opens April 1st through April 27th.

• Notification: Artist’s will be notified by February 24th.

Upon acceptance, artists will receive a Release of Liability to be signed. Due to the limited wall

space, the curators will be considering the overall show’s aesthetic and thematic diversity as

well as size and quality of individual works submitted.
