Hello All,
As some of you who know me know, I work at the Yale Center for British Art in museum education. I am thrilled to announce that the museum, which has been partially closed for four years, is now reopening this month! We will be reopening with a collection show of JMW Turner on the anniversary of his 250th year, contemporary artist Tracey Emin's powerfully expressive paintings, and a rehang of our historical collection spanning five centuries of British Art. We are kicking it off with a weekend long celebration of music, food, fun, and art. Please feel free to share far and wide and I hope to see many of you there!
Also, if Openings would ever like to plan a more intimate tour of the collections I would love to host you. It is a pretty painless ride on Metro North to New Haven, and always a great excuse to get some great pizza. The museum is always free and open to all.
All the best,
James
