Zoom meeting: Helping 'Michael Berube' Brainstorming on Sunday, April 21 at 7pm

Hello Openings Collective Community,

I'm reaching out because of our mutual friendship with Michael Berube. I would like for us to collectively get together via ZOOM on Sunday, April 21 at 7 pm to discuss how we can help him as he goes through a challenging period with health issues. 

As his co-teacher at Hunter College, I have seen that he has faced difficult challenges with his health in the past year. His fight against cancer can be supported by developing community support around him. He needs help walking his dog Shadow, and getting light groceries. We could do some fundraising for him to pay for help and ease some of the financial stress while he's dealing with his health concerns. Perhaps a GoFundMe site would be a good first step, though I would love to hear your thoughts, and collectively we can generate creative ideas to help him.

Please feel free to invite anyone you think might be interested in helping. I know we are all very busy people in NYC, however, if we all pitch in a little, we can make a big difference in helping Michael during this difficult time.
