Hi all,

Wilm (CC-ed), one of our key partner staff, is having severe problems with open-IHM on his computer:

1) Other users are unable to produce reports from his databases, and the error message "UnboundLocalError: local variable 'kCal' referenced before assignment" appears in Python code box when we try to do so. This has been posted with more details as issue 321 (http://code.google.com/p/open-ihm/issues/detail?id=321).

2) Households seem to be disappearing from databases on his computer. This has been posted with more details as issue 332 (http://code.google.com/p/open-ihm/issues/detail?id=332).

Do you know what the error message for the first problem might mean, or why households might disappear from these databases? And do you have any ideas for solving these problems?

Many thanks!

Wolf

P.S. The user affected, Wilm, is the same user as mentioned in this (https://groups.google.com/forum/?fromgroups#!topic/openihm-dev/QBmdvRAljKU) thread, where an installation of open-IHM on his new computer wouldn't start after he updated it. To try to avoid having to add all reference table items and databases to yet another new installation after he'd already just done so on the new computer, Sarah suggested that he might try leaving MySQL intact when uninstalling and reinstalling. However, because he was just about to go to Zambia, I don't think Wilm has done this yet - and I think all of these problems in issue 321 and issue 332 are affecting his old computer. At least one of the databases affected by issue 321 was created before the problem in that thread occurred, and at least one of the databases affected by issue 321 has been created since then.
