	celia	Yes- thanks. I want to check if Dai is up to speed on this. Dai- to recap, pending the development branch, we agreed on an earlier IRC chat the way to go with this enhancement was to isolate 1 laptop for tests (which we did with the asset GUI) and do smoketests on this. We have told the user group not to update open-ihm until further notice.
	tiwongem	what has been added to the current default branch is just the GUI template with no code behind it. I have held back pushing of the other code
	celia	Yes-so Dai, what do you recommend in the light of Sarah's comment? Tio-for information, Wolf and I will be in Lilongwe on Monday ( 23rd Sept pm/evening) and all day on Mon 30 Sept. I don't know if there is any installation of the development branch available that needs to be installed physically (or if Brown is in Lilongwe...) We are travelling north to Karonga
	tiwongem	but the newer code has the QIP in mind, so besides adding stuff for the Asset report it goes some way towards the QIP (e.g, using SQLalchemy and cutting down on repeated code - putting common code in one place)
	tiwongem	we could arrange with brown to have an installer made for the development branch, and then all current changes will be pushed there
	celia	That would be perfect-it's what's needed

	tiwongem	I will do both open ihm and phone, but will update the phone conversation on ihm

	tiwongem	then we will push the changes to the development branch, and you can test from the
	tiwongem	but since your machine has all the dependencies sorted out, we can also just create instructions on how you can pull code for the development branch on your machine
	celia	30th would be good. We will go ahead and collect data in the field, then get on with the analysis as soon as smoke tests etc have been done! I'll text Brown my Malawi number so we can speak directly during the week if necessary.
	celia	Ok it sounds as if this would work well-if there are any problems we can be in touch by phone on 30th

	tiwongem	am now trying to do the final report query, but was wondering on the exact details to include for the asset, besides household name, asset category and type, and total number of units
	tiwongem	do those details suffice for the purposes of the said report?
	celia	There should be an option to include the unit cost (although we don't currently collect this information). The spreadsheet looks like this

	celia	The output should be displayed in order of DI/AE-as with all the other reports. So if the hhold doesn't have a particular asset, there is a blank.
	celia	Wolf-do you hae anything to add?
	celia	Any additional work involved in coding for unit cost analysis could be put on hold-but with the ability to add this at some point
	tiwongem	it will be possible to add that, in future
	tiwongem	I am stepping out for a while, so any other comments on the Assets report may be communicated through the issues list
	Wolf_	Yes, just cost I think. Is it going to be like the DI report (i.e. just one asset at a time) or like the income by source (i.e. multiple assets in one report)?

	celia	Good-so the user can select (say) tradeable goods and specific items....(as in income by source)

	tiwongem	but the layout will differ from the sources by income report - still experimenting with layouts on paper
