What should the home page of a Congressional website look like?

Design a mockup for Congressman Honda's new website and post it to http://bit.ly/YourDesign

Best design gets $1000. More info at http://honda.house.gov/redesign.

While I'm no longer working for Congressman Honda, it's great to see he's crowdsourcing the redesign of his site.

I recently took a job as Director of New Media for the House Democratic Caucus. If anyone has suggestions of projects that the Caucus or individual Members might take up on the web, I'd love to hear your ideas.

Rob

PS I'll be showing the proposed designs to other Congressional offices, so this would be a great way for the design community to offer input on what a Congressional website should look like and demonstrate their skills to other congressional offices for future Congressional website redesigns. Any outreach to get the word out about this program would be appreciated.
