NEW: Strengthening Congressional Oversight of the Intelligence Community

Today we released a letter from 33 organizations endorsing stronger congressional oversight of the intelligence community; a white paper authored by Demand Progress, R Street Institute, EFF, and FreedomWorks that contains detailed recommendations on reforming the House rules to strengthen oversight; and a video explaining the importance of a strong Congress.

Tomorrow, the House of Representatives' Rules Committee will hold a hearing on the House's rules for the 115th congress, kicking off the public discussion about what the future congress should look like.
