Lesotho HIE Development Team

Hi,

I am Teboho Koma from the Lesotho OpenMRS/HIE development team. We are interested in joining the Shared Health Record community. We are also interested in 

joining the Client Registry and Interoperability Layer communities. We are currently not sure if this is the right path to register to participate in the community calls for the different communities. 

Lesotho is currently in the process of implementing a HIE (includes Client Registry, Interoperability Layer and Shared Health Record) using open source reference solutions 

recommended by the HIE communities.

Please advice on how we can participate in the scheduled calls and become part of the communities.

You can export/subscribe to specific calendars to add them to you personal calendar app of choice.

The IOL and SHR communities have a joint call on the 3rd Tuesday of every month (https://wiki.ohie.org/display/resources/Interoperability+Layer+Community+Call), and this is open to anyone to join the discussion. If you are interested in proposing a topic please let us know here on the mailing list or on one of the calls.

I'd also suggest joining the OpenHIE Implementers Network mailing list (https://groups.google.com/forum/?hl=en#!forum/ohie-implementers) and the OpenHIE community calls (https://wiki.ohie.org/display/resources/OpenHIE+Community+Call).

It'd be great to have you and the team present on an upcoming OpenHIE Community Call to introduce the Lesotho context and the HIE-related work you're doing there. The next community call will be after the December holidays on January 27, 2020, if you're available to present?

A few other things to mention:

 - The OpenHIE community is in the process of moving across to Discourse for community discussions (in place of the mailing lists), and you may want to sign up for this: https://discourse.ohie.org/

 - OpenHIE recently published Version 2.0 of the OpenHIE Architecture Specification that includes an updated OpenHIE architecture diagram, additional workflows and component specifications: https://ohie.org/architecture-specification/

 - The annual OpenHIE Community Meeting took place at the start of the month in Addis Ababa, and many of the presentations and discussion notes have been posted on the OpenHIE wiki, which may be of interest: https://wiki.ohie.org/display/resources/2019+Meeting+Agenda
