Imagine a world where more men had the presence and patience that yoga has brought us!
I'd love to share yoga with more men, which is why I started running a monthly yoga practice for men.
If you are a man, please come, if you know a man, please suggest this to him.
This month the theme is Sankalpa - intention. We'll be setting intentions and running yoga practices to ground them into our bodies so that they can play out during the rest of the year.
Help your friends benefit from yoga the way you have.
We are starting the year with the theme of Sankalpa - Sankalpa (Sanskrit: संकल्प) conception, idea, or notion formed in the heart or mind; solemn vow or determination; to perform, desire; definite intention; volition or will. Most men thrive when holding their actions in a context of what they are up to in the bigger picture: their purpose.Setting a Sankalpa for the year, or even just a moment, helps us access that deeper thriving. A sankalpa practice will be led by Mark Schillinger, and an asana practice to ground that intention in your body led by David Schlussel.* WHAT'S MEN'S KULA?What's unique about Men's Kula is that we practice together, exploring a theme about masculinity. We check in around our relationship to the theme, and do practices including pranayama, asana, chanting, to help embody the object of the theme more fully.
Come practice together at Spring/Fall studios, then have brunch at Westside Cafe after.
(literally in the same building)
Invite your brothers!
The practice is by donation (Suggested $25)
