Observation table at household level

Dear All,

In our current system, the observation is done at household level. The observation table is define at this level.

It is possible to do that in OpenDHS ?

In our case, were we find more than one household which are not related in one Location, we think we should move at this level.

Others sites in the same situation ?

Greetings, 

      You raise an interesting point and I will be interested in hearing from other sites about how they organize their field operations. 

      From a technical/software point of view, it is certainly possible to do this. You would need to define a new household visit entity. The user interface would display all individuals in the household rather than location. The calculation of demographic rates would have to change to reflect the persons under observation (household). 

      Are you using tablets for data collection ?

I have just closed our last round using papers. But the next round we plan to use tablets with OpenHDS.
