Hi Brian,

Thanks for this.

I have tried to document the latest (just did a dump this morning) database structure here:
http://openhds.rcg.usm.maine.edu/wiki/display/openhds/Data+Schema

It would a longer time to make the visual schema, so I just decided to create these html tables and pasted to the wiki.

Also find it attached here.

Thanks for asking and hope we get feedback and discussions following.

Cheers,
Ime

PS: Please note that while I had solved some of the issues raised at Niarobi, some are just being added to the issues tracker for resolution. So, don't be surprised to find them still there.

Hi guys,

How is the team doing? Trust all is well. The team here is interested in reviewing the database model used. I wanted to use an updated database model.

Pls confirm we have the lateset model at the following link - http://openhds.rcg.usm.maine.edu/wiki/display/openhds/Data+Model

If it is not the latest DB model, pls send me the latest model or update the linked diagram.

Asante.

Dear All,
I want to suggest this. Can we put the issues in categories and tackle them.
For example all interface issues can be addressed together as front end issue. All issues about data models is more of a back end issue so we can put all backend issues together and tackle them.
May be from what is going on so far let us start with back end issues.
If  my categorization is too broad,  we can have other smaller categorization if any.

Wish all Christians, Merry Xmas in advance
Francis

For  a start let us look at all back end issues.

Hello All, my name is Dave and I'm one of the developers on the OpenHDS. I just wanted to say thank you for the feedback on the system; it is greatly appreciated.

I agree with Francis that having the issues categorized would be helpful. I will begin to set up the categories on the Redmine site.

I would like to add one thing about making changes to OpenHDS. I think before we make any changes, we should have an open discussion as to what problem the changes are addressing, and how they will improve the system. I believe collaboration on these issues will bring forward the best results.

Again, thank you everyone.

Dave

Dear All,

That is a good point Francis but that again could be subtitled as the issues may look broad and wide.  In view of that, I wish to suggest for instance with regards to the front end issues, we look at each interface.  For instance I would wish we do some re-arrangement as below.  The flow from Baseline->Update->Amendments is very important.

OpenHDS Home Page:

HOME

BASELINE

UPDATE

AMENDMENTS

REPORTS

Utilities Routines

Developers

I hope this is not a very re-coding task.

Regards

Peter

I completely agree with you on this one Peter. I will mark this down as an issue unless anyone else has further opinions on this? This will require very little coding to complete.

Thanks

Dave
