I just wanted to get this page on the record ...

http://www.waynecook.com/ahamilton-wentworth.html

It's straight out of 1998 in terms of aesthetics and form, but the
fellow has transcribed the full text of dozens of historical plaques
in Hamilton. It would be great to turn this into a mapped source.

I'm happy to work on it.

I recall an alternate source but I haven't investigated if there's a
full content or not...

Hey Ken,

If you can put this information into a table, I'd be more than happy to help with geocoding and getting the table onto a map. We should check Flickr to find Creative Commons licensed photos of the plaques if possible.

Or, since less than 3 percent (+/-0.2 percent, last I checked) of
Flickr photos are under any sort of public license, and the quality of
labeling leads to remarkably frustrating search attempts, why don't we
add a way to user-source the photos ? The mobile web UI or mobile app
could have a "hey, we notice you are at a location that needs a photo,
would you mind terribly?" tool for sites that hadn't been tagged yet.
