Hi All,

I recently received an email informing me of an online exercise in Greater
Washington allowing people to play with changing ward boundaries by
assigning census tracts to different wards.

Anyone interested in building something like this for Hamilton? Thanks to
Joey Coleman's work earlier this year, we have the 2011 population data at
a census tract level:

Kind Regards,
Ryan

I'm working on it at present. Should have code done Sunday, all I need help with is connecting it to an SQL database.

I've coded 80 of the 140 CTs to include the information that is needed for this app. Also change the code to be +- 25% and removed a lot of Washington specific stuff.

Heh, I should have just asked you if you already knew about this. Great
stuff - let me know if you need help connecting to a database.

I'm modifying the Washington redistricting Google Map -
districtbuilder is more complex than we need and the cost of cloud
computing...

If we can get more detailed census data, and the City formally launchs
a ward review, then we'll look at districtbuilder.
