Hi All -

We're almost ready to launch WardRep.ca (http://wardrep.ca) and I
propose we make the occasion with a little Open Data meetup? An
opportunity to all meet/greet each other, do some idea sharing & a bit
of networking or just havesome fun at an open data/open gov
gathering..... as well as potentially meet the folks at
OpenHamilton.ca, who I've been working with for the past few weeks

It would be great to meet next week, say Wednesday April 13th

I'd like to solicit feedback on the date, as well as location &
format. Does anyone have any good suggestions, recommendations for
places to meet up?
I assume Oakville / Burlington WEST areas would work better for those
in Oakville as well as for the Hamilton crew?

Please respond & let's get a conversation going.

Thanks!
Nik

Forgot to mention that this would be an evening meet-up, say 6:30 -
9pm (?) again open to ideas for better times and what works. :)

Based on a few responses, it now looks like Wednesday Apr 20th to be a
better date for the meetup.

Any suggestions on locations?

Wouldn't mind if the mtg was in Burlington since I would be coming from Dundas. How many people are you expecting. Is this a restaurant/coffee shop type meeting or do you need more space.

I guess it really depends on the number of people, but a meet-up at a
restaurant with a separate room (similar to Silicon Halton meetings at
Ned Divine's in Milton ) would be a good model.

Any thoughts on places like that in Burlington?

All - please hold the date April 20th (next Wednesday) evening for an
Open Data meetup in Burlington. I'll follow up shortly with
confirmation of time & venue!

Thanks
