Hi,

I justed switched from iOS to Windows Phone  and I'm really happy with so far. The only thing that really bothers me is that there is no native OpenHAB app for WP7/8. Kai mentioned that there is already an app in development by Osama as listed in the repository. So, maybe there are others willing to contribute to a WP8 app in any way or to support the existing project? In the latter case it would be really good if Osama could give us a status-update of the project and if you, Osama, would appreciate some assistance of your own. I'd be happy to help.

Thanks!
Cheers,

Julian

Hi,

I would gladly appreciate any help because right now I have so much to do at work that I am barely able to continue development.
As for the project status: the current version found in the repository is a WP7.5 openHAB 1.0 compatible app. It is quite complete but lacks finalization/polishing (styling, better images, more meaningful messages, better REST support, actual live tiles (they are not very lively at the moment) ).
Additionally I cannot put the app in the store because my developer account is expired. To install you would need to checkout the repo, compile and send it to your developer-enabled phone. If you are a developer yourself or know someone who is willing to help adding the 1.1 features, making it WP8 compatible or knowing a bit more on styling than me just PM me and I will see what I can do.

I would love to see this in the store some day. I'm not a windows phone developer myself so i can't really help out with development, but i do have an App Hub account that i can publish apps with as they are free for students. So if you don't find any other way to publish the app on the windows phone marketplace i could help you with that.
