OpenHAB designer log level

I installed the designer from the available Download 1.0.0 for linux. 

It starts with Log level set to "debug", thus sending many log messages to the console and slowing down the overall performance.

How can I change the log level?

Yes, that's true. I agree that this should be changed in general.

It is actually logging everything because it does not find any logback.xml configuration - so one cannot easily change the log level. I will have to see how a suitable logback.xml can be included and referenced in the Eclipse RCP product build.
May I ask you to enter an issue for that?
