Hi,

I wanted some help, since i was googling for a while now without success.

I want  to use OH with some automated roller shutters and blinds.

However, i cannot find any roller and blinds that are easily integrated with OH.

I don,t want to start using arduino and DYI stuff. I just need some roller and blinds with REST API or something easily called from OH.

Any ideas ?

I don't have any of this equipment, but there is a binding for URTSI that works with Somfy roller shutters and blinds.

There are plenty of zwave roller blind controller devices around, and probably the other systems also have them. They are used to control an existing motorised blind/shutter. I don't personally have these since they aren't common in the UK, but plenty of people are using the zwave devices at least in Europe.

Hello Tebbaerty

I use 6 fibaro FGRM-222 to control my motorized venetian blinds. It works very good and stable.
Prerequirement is an zwave network...

Let me know, if you need further information.

regards
Michael

This binding supports Somfy RTS control using the RFXCOM RFXtrx433E: https://github.com/openhab/openhab/wiki/RFXCOM-Binding

Blind motors supported by the RFXtrx433E are:
A-OK, BOFU,BTX, Chamberlain, Dolat, Dooya, Ematronic, Forest,Hasta, Louvolite, REAX, Somfy, Sunpery, RohrMotor24 RMF, Rollertrol, Yooda.

It would be nice.

Can you give me an url with the product ?
I could work with a z-wave network. I was actually looking for a solution to cover all my needs (temperature sensors, motion sensors, air quality sensors) and it seems that z-wave have those sensors.

Somfy is not really an option since i live in eastern europe and i don't have a local store ( i could order them, but i would rather have a local store for warranty and installation )
I saw some z-wave roller sollution, but they all involved some DYI stuff.

Hmm, from what i understand is that i need to buy my desired rollers, and them automate them using one of those motors ?
Thanks for the list of motors. I will have a look each of them :D

http://www.rfxcom.com/RFXtrx433E-USB-43392MHz-Transceiver/en  (scroll down for the distributor list)

Chapter 2 in the RFXtrx User Guide lists the supported devices including sensors and lighting modules:

Thanks for the link, but http://www.rfxcom.com/RFXtrx433E-USB-43392MHz-Transceiver/en it's a bit expensive for my budged, and i can't find sensors to further add to this configuration.

However looking around those motors, i saw that they can be controlled with Z-Wave as well.
Since i want an integrated solution, i found a z-wave stick and an almost all in one sensor ( air quality + dust + loudness sensor would've been nice to have )

the all in one sensor : http://aeotec.com/z-wave-sensor

I also checked FGRM-222 and it seems to be working with z-wave as well ( and i have a local store to buy this from )

So basically having the z-wave-usb-stick should grant me remote control of the motors that supports them, right ?

Did you check chapter 2.2 in the RFXtrx User Guide?
In the list you will find a lot of supported (cheap) sensors like Oregon, TFA, LaCrosse, KD101 smoke detectors, X10 security sensors, BBQ sensors....

I checked it now, and it's definitely worth further investigation.
I will check the available list of sensors

Thanks,
