Hi everyone,

after installing a Mosquitto server on my Raspberry Pi I wonder if it's possible to use this server to send push notifications to my android device.

Are there any Android applications which work like "Notify my Android" and rely on MQTT? Does anyone already managed to send push notification from openhab via MQTT to an Android device?

Thanks for your support!

Kind regards
Oliver

I think you'll find what you need with mqttwarn [1] which can notify all
sorts of things. :-) Related [2]. Usual disclaimer applies.

Yep I can confirm I am using openHAB + MQTT + mqttwarn + Pushover and it works like a charm.

mqttwarn is well worth looking into - JP has done some fantastic work there!
