Hi,

as I am currently building a new home that will be even more "openhubbed" I have a (maybe pretty simple) question. I have a Comfoair 350 system by Zehnder that I want to connect to openhab. I know that there is a binding available. How do I connect the system to Openhab - I cannot see any IP connection so I assume I need to go over KXN? Is this the way to use the binding or are there any other interfaces I can use? I couldn't find any howto, maybe someone can guide me?

Thanks in advance

Christian

Hi,

it seems the serial port is used. See https://github.com/openhab/openhab/wiki/Comfo-Air-Binding for more information.

Hope this helps!

Best, Thomas

Thanks Thomas, I am aware of the binding. Does anybody have any advise how to really connect the system physically to the network? I could imagine using a Raspberry Pi or something similar but I couldn't find any howto or description about that.
