I am looking for ways to use the Apple Watch with Openhab:

- perform simple commands from the watch to trigger events in Openhab. Are there any current ways to do this?
One idea I had is to use the watch app 'Do Button by IFTTT' but then how do I connect IFTTT to Openhab?

- get notifications from Openhab to the watch. I currently use Prowl on the Iphone but Prowl is not (yet) compatible with Apple Watch

- of course the ultimate objective would be to control Openhab from the Apple Watch using Siri...

Any ideas on using existing bindings?

Hi Sam,

maybe you find the ongoing thread "iOS HomeKit Bridge" interesting:
https://groups.google.com/d/topic/openhab/i5T3CGsBZuE/discussion
If the Apple Watch supports Siri and controlling HomeKit components via
Siri, then I think it should be possible to control OH using Siri via
the Apple Watch.

BR,
Christian

And for IFTTT check out recent announcement from Victor in the groups on my.openhab.org.

Cheers
