A handy alternative to RFXMngr

It is a big pain to have to use the RFXMngr, especially when you don't have a Windows machine.

It does work on Virtualbox, due to the rare need for it, having to load Windows is an effort in itself  (so many updates) 

Anyhoo 

There is a nice Python tool that once installed does the sniffing so you can see all the ID numbers and codes being sent to and from your compatible devices. Just like the RFXMngr does.



It doesn't do firmware updates (I think) but you can use the RFXCom firmware update in Mono (but you can't use the RFXMngr in Mono)

So if you would rather not have to shutdown and unplug your RFXtrx433E, it allows you to stop openHAB run the script, fire you device, make a note of the code and then start openHAB again.
