Hi All,

i have a Question about the MQTT-Binding. I have a FineOffset WH1080 Weather station. I get the weatherdata over weewx. Now i have mqtt in weewx implemented and it is running good, but the temperatures are in Fahrenheit and i need it in Celsius for Openhab. Do i have to convert it on my own or is there a way to automaticly convert the values?

Best Regards,

Herbert

There is nothing in openHAB for automatically converting metric types. So you will need probably need two items in openHAB, one which is bound to the F incoming feed, and a second which is updated by a rule. The rule would be triggered by any update to the F item. Hope that makes sense.

Hello Ben,

thanks for your help, but in the group of weewx the user mwall helped me. He extended the mqtt export in weewx with a automatic conversion.
