Sorry for any cross-posting.

The first two public meetings of the federal open government FACA will be on October 18, 2024 and October 23, 2024 (Federal Register Notice). Both require registration. 

The committee is not taking public comment or statements at the initial virtual meeting, which the GSA described as administrative: “The public may observe but not participate.” 

Send public comment to og...@gsa.gov by 9 AM on the day of each meeting; it will “shared with committee members.”  (While the GSA hasn’t indicated when or where they will be posted, they should disclosed on the FACA website.)

There will be an opportunity for spoken public comment at the hybrid meeting, which will be in person on the afternoons of the 23rd at GSA HQ in DC, but it will be limited to three minutes.

To attend either or both of these meetings, you must register in advance. Registration is free and open to all, but it is required to ensure proper accommodations and access. Please complete your registration by 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time on October 17, 2024, for the first meeting, and by 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time on October 22, 2024, for the second meeting.

Public Comment: Written public comments will be provided to OG FAC members in advance of the meeting if received by COB, Friday, October 11, 2024, for the Friday, October 18, 2024 meeting; and by COB, Wednesday, October 16, 2024, for the Wednesday, October 23, 2024 meeting, respectively. Written comments may be sent to og...@gsa.gov. We request all written comments have the relevant meeting date in the email subject line based on the due dates above.

If you wish to offer oral public comments during the public comments period of the October 23, 2024 meeting, you must register in advance. We request that you register by Tuesday, October 22, 2024, no later than 5 p.m. EDT. All oral public comments will be limited to three (3) minutes per individual and may be made in-person or virtually.
