What: Virtual workshop about open data catalogs and requirments
When: 11.2.2010 16-19 CET
Where: Skype + Etherpad + wiki contact antti.poikola by skype
This Doodle poll indicates that Thursday 11.2. is OK for me, Daniel,
James, Rufus, David and Jussi, so let's keep that fixed.
The idea is to generally brainstorm the requirments for a good data
catalog. I will contact James and Daniel before the workshop and
organize it a little bit in advance.
Secondary goal if there is time left is to streamline the two open
source catalog projects CKAN and opengov.x so that they will support
each other. Jussi allready made a review of the CKAN codebase from a
opengov.x developers point of view. And David? have evaluated CKAN as
well (link below), it would be great if one of the CKAN developers
could evaluate the opengov.x codebase and send the comments for the
rest of us.
