Hi,

We found that in Chrome/Safari, the column size of the data table is shrinking every time the map get updated (e.g. pan or zoom in/out). But this does not happen in Firefox. We are wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem and if a solution has been found.

Here is a link that demonstrates the problem. http://z.umn.edu/metrogisogp

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Best,
Allen

Hi Allen,

The current code for the results table is completely different than in the version you are using. Part of the reason I decided to go ahead and move the results table to a Backbone view (in January or February?) had to do with the difficulty in addressing cross browser formatting errors like these. I’d be more than happy to help you merge your current code base with the current one.

thanks!
Chris

Thanks for the quick answer Chris. Then we probably will have to try the backbone version :)

Also, can we just supersede the old /resource/javascript folder with the backbone version one, while keeping all the backend Java code the same? We are asking this because that the FTPdownload beans sits in our local version but hasn't been merged into your branch. We should definitely setting up a meeting to talk about this.

Thanks,
Allen

Unfortunately that won’t work. However, merging the java code should be relatively easy. Most of the big changes are in javascript.  We will have to do some manual merges since file structure has changed, but it should be pretty straightforward. I think once you get how the Backbone version works you will see that many things that you want to do are much easier!

Let me know when you’re available so we can set up a meeting.

thanks!
Chris
