Just don't really have the time to get a great version of this finalized but the main plans for the current Phase of the reboot are:
Phase 1 Roadmap:
* Plan how to collaberate our efforts
* Get some theme option ready for the PPA
* Get some basic packages/patches ready for the PPA
* Inform people of the move from the ufurmix PPA to the openfur PPA (i will create that PPA next week)
* Begin looking into talking to people about Creative Commons licencing choices if unable to provide help on the technical side. Don't force it on them though.
* Plan more stuff to add to the PPA for the next release.
* Decide on if we wish to just provide the PPA or also ISOs
* Figure out what our core audience should be (right now we will just default to Ufurmix's "All Furry Artist and Art Collectors" selection)
Things we will not be doing:
* Be just a rethemeing project, while it might start out as one for the first bit (themeing is well liked and pretty easy to get set-up) this is still an extension of Ufurmix
* Build an OS from scratch, there is a reason CreatureS drop it's plans to build it's own base OS, it's a lot of work to build and then their are all the minor details of Patching, Updating, finding a package management solution, kernel and module compilation, initial network configuration (for building the OS up more from within), Choosing the all the bits and pieces, Figuring out how to make it liveCD compatible, blah blah blah. TL;DR: It is a huge pain to do when we can use a pre-existing OS and currently have no reason to roll our own Core system.
The CC initiative is just an idea. Be nice if furs knew their licencing options for their creative works. If you find a furry project that needs some temporary let us know and volunteers can feel free to help on behalf of Openfur.
Critiques and spelling grammar corrections are welcome, just don't be rude about it please.
