Would you guys be interested in trying to finally make something of Openfur, I am thinking of working with a close friend to draw up some documentation while redoing another personal project. I would love to hear your feedback. I apologize for the sad state of this group.

Sure
Anyone has telegram? We could setup a chat group there and discuss ideas and features.

I do. I can set up a channel there when I get home. It and things like slack should make collab easier.

I currently do not have telegram, also, it has so far not really been finding a good way to communicate, but rather a good time, as there is some difference in timezone for some of us.

So I asked this before, and I'll ask this again.  What products are you going to create that will be beneficial for fandom? A straight up linux distribution is not the answer here, but a respin/deriv might be.

But I think you have to offer something of an advantage to your users.  A bunch of wallpapers and bookmarks and a selection of automatically installed things is not an advantage when you can offer a webpage or script that does the same with far less work and far fewer chances for bugs.

Not sure yet, I think efforts would be better focused on tools development to help furry linux user or maybe cross platform if porting the code base is not that hard. The OS idea was never going to be just wallpapers and bookmarks. As you stated both would be just as easy to get with a simple script or even just downloading a compressed archive. If that ever became the idea we would like just revert back to doing the repo from Ufurmix. Might consider a liveUSB distro with tools we make pre-bundled. Really not had any big idea breakthroughs that warrant a persistent hard disk installed OS.

On a second point of business I would love to hear what ideas are remaining members have, and if anyone knows how to get this off the ground I would love the help, I can't do this alone.

Lastly I yet again humbly apologize this never got off the ground after I became figurehead. I really would love to see this name and our dedicated team mates manage to make at least the smallest impact for Linux and/or the F(L)OSS community.

hi i am new, but i thought i could help on the ideas front.
if we want to get this thing off the ground, in my personal humble opinion, we need to start small and i think that a whole Linux distro is just too big.
from what i can tell the main thing that made the original ubuntu furry remix what it was, was the PPA's.
i think that this is where we should start.
it would not be hard to include sets of fur brushes for GIMP, or to provide site d-loaders for things like FA, SF, e6, etc.
any why not throw in some icons, wallpapers and cursors.
due to the fact that the code behind these things is distro independent there is no need to convict people to switch their previously set up distro.
all of this may be achievable whereas maintaining a linux distro is probably not right now. (maybe further down the track).

as i am new feel free to shoot me down if this is absolute rubbish
sincerely -Henry
