URL Parsing Northbound application

Hi I am interested in developing a northbound app on top of floodlight that can parse the http request for the URI's when ever a URL is requested is there a way we can log it in the switch/controller(application) ? 

so the questions I have are, where should I start from, I am planing to use this (http://stevenlevithan.com/demo/parseuri/js/#resultsList ) code but cant figure out how to implement this in the switch,... 

any advises comments would be great , thanks in advance.
