Hello everyone,

OpenEtna 6.3-rc7 just got released. Changes include:

= v6.3-rc7 =
* Reboot phone after a crash
* After crash&reboot, the last kernel log will be at /proc/last_kmsg
* Fixed a bug in the wifi driver, which corrupted memory and
eventually killed the device
* Fixed issue 393 'Phone only charges when plugged to pc and not from outlet'
* Fixed issue 377 'no light on hardware keyboard' (by trmfreitas)
* Fixed issue 415 'Brightness sensor does not report a value after
waking up/lcd brightness is wrong after waking up' (by trmfreitas)
* Fixed issue 396 'Back button too sensitive when "kill with back
button" is activated' (by trmfreitas)
* Fixed issue 303 'Music button works even if screen is locked' (by
trmfreitas)
* Show the "Gps active" icon earlier

= v6.3-rc6 =
 * Should fix the (A)GPS issue 354 by downloading xtra data the right way

= 6.3-rc5 =
 * Fixed wifi hangs. Battery will drain faster, if you set "Wifi
Sleep policy" to "Never" as that keeps the phone from suspending. Not
even Lg could get this to work.
 * Maybe fixed proximity sensor weirdness during call
 * Add a RTL fix to webkit

= 6.3-rc4 =
 * Fix some bugs with the backlight, especially the issue where there is a
dark region in the lower left corner
 * lower up_threshold for lower cpu latency
 * Added an OpenEtna app, which (for now) will assist in installing google
apps. It will be automatically launched on boot, if gapps are not installed.

Have fun!

I'm just curious, why was it an issue that the Music button works even when the phone is locked?
I liked that ability, it's really annoying to have to unlock the phone, then wait, just to play/pause music.
I read the issue page at http://code.google.com/p/openetna/issues/detail?id=303 but is it possible to have an option to enable/disable the music button when the phone is locked?

Sorry if this is not the proper channel to ask this question.

Cheers,

Please comment on the issue.

This has been changed so that if you want to control the music you first press the power button to turn the screen on and then you can press the music button.

There is no way to enable/disable this.

This has been changed because it makes sense that if the phone is locked it should not start to play music just by a touch of a button.

Excellent work, really appreciate what polytheus has been doing.
Works fine on my device so far, I'll post an issue as soon as I find a
bug.
Cheers,
