Hello my friends,

While I installing the edx vesion of Ginkgo.1 the setup gives me the below error.  May you help me, please? I can't undestand what this error means.
Thanks in advance about your opinions.

Hi,

Is this the first time you run the installation script? It'll mostly fail if you reinstall. You'd better start with a fresh server.

Hope that will help,

Hello Trinh,

Thanks you for your advice but yes it's a clean setup with a fresh server.

I can't understand what's matter. Have you or someone else another idea?

I would setup it again but i believe that this error will appear again.

Best Wishes,
DimKar

Look like the migration script cannot find /edx/etc/discovery.yml

How exactly did you install the stack?

So now you ran the installation on the old environment? Please try this instead:

1. Create a fresh server.
2. Run the following instead of your manual steps by steps:

# 1. Set the OPENEDX_RELEASE variable:
export OPENEDX_RELEASE=open-release/ginkgo.1
# 2. Bootstrap the Ansible installation:
wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/edx/configuration/$OPENEDX_RELEASE/util/install/ansible-bootstrap.sh -- | sudo bash
# 3. (Optional) If this is a new installation, randomize the passwords:
wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/edx/configuration/$OPENEDX_RELEASE/util/install/generate-passwords.sh -- | bash
# 4. Install Open edX:
wget https://raw.githubusercontent.com/edx/configuration/$OPENEDX_RELEASE/util/install/sandbox.sh -- | bash
