Did you see the guy asking what quantity constitutes a “power buy” for the new 550? This might get very interesting very quickly….

Recall that Shumate wanted to do a “power buy” of the DPU-550 and could not get enough takers so just quietly removed that option. What is so different now? The DPU people just wanted to upgrade and pay around $70. Why would there be more people willing to pay more than this and throw away what they have?

Maybe there are some members of the BBS that want to buy a new unit, but not very many IMHO. Besides, they are just buying a promise right now.
