Beginners Guide

Hello,

I am quite new to the concept of OpenDPI, in fact the total DPI.
Before going towards the hardware DPI solution, we (my company) would
like to test the functionality with something like OpenDPI, which is
open source and any one can use.

Would you please give me any guideline how to getting started with
this? Where I can get necessary documentation for this software ?

Hi,

You can find the OpenDPI manual at the download section
(http://code.google.com/p/opendpi/downloads/list). This document
describes the basic steps required to integrate OpenDPI. Besides that,
you may also look at the demo application in the utils directory which
basically uses the libpcap to load pcap files and runs the detection on
the packets.
