OpenDPI control of Service and Application Flows

Though I have looked a bit at the OpenDPI Integrations Manual and
code, it seems like the capabilities are to only take a pcap and
analyze the traffic. I have not seen any description or way of being
able to have OpenDPI control traffic flows such as Peer-To-Peer or IM
real time like a regular DPI appliance. Does OpenDPI have the
capability of being put into a Linux Box with 2 Ethernet cards on a
network to control these types of services or something like this?
