can a series of hamit ups downconvert a signal from say 400mhz to the HF range?

Say I hook 4 of these up in series start with a 400mhz signal then downconvert on tx then downconvert on tx then downconvert on tx.
would i need to hook up linear amplifiers in between etc..?

No, the oscillator and filters force a fixed frequency range, 0.5MHz-
to-50MHz at RF, 100MHz-to-150MHz at IF. The Up/Down-conversion is not
additive.

The filters would need to be redesigned and a different oscillator
used for 400MHz-to-100MHz.

I forgot about the oscillator buffer, it only works to 200MHz. A
400MHz to MF/HF Up/Down-converter would need to be designed from
scratch. Not much can be reused.
