Hi!
First of all I would like to thank you for the great kicad libraries thet you have made, really great work!!!!
Also I would like to ask you if toy know the part manufacturer/number for the footprint MEMORY_CARD_microSD_TF-08
that is in your library (micro SD card connector)

Best regards

Thanks!

I have most recently been using the Hirose DM3D-SF for most projects
and it is very reliable. I had problems with other connectors after
reflow.

The TF-08 was a cheap connector I sourced a small lot of. I will
look into where I got it but I recall it wasn't an active product.

Turns out the TF-08 was a microSD connector I modified an existing
design for. I have no idea who manufactures it and the documentation
I got was lacking many details.

Again, I would recommend the Hirose DM3D-SF. In my schematic symbol
library it is CONN_microSD. In my footprint modules library it is
Memory_Card_microSD_DM3D-SF.

It works successfully on the Micropendous board:

Have you come across a microSD connector with a similar footprint?

Ok, thanks for your reply!

Unfourtionately I have already made the board with the TF08 footprint...stupid of me not to check this before sending for manufacturing:)
I will just have to look around to see if I can find any connector with a similar footprint and fix this to my next batch of boards.
Thanks!
/Fredrik

If this is for a prototype, the DM3D-SF is somewhat compatible since you can reverse the orientation and the signal pins line up correctly.

I have removed the footprint from my libraries.

Ok thanks!

I will check this. It is a prototype so it is no problem to change later. thanks a LOT for your help!
Best regards
