Hi, dear developers. My name is Xiongtao Chen, a graduate student from School of Electronic and Computer Engineering at Peking University, China. With my major of Deep Learning and Multimedia Analysis, I am really interested in open detection project and hope to absorb in it.

I am competent to this project with several skills, including C++/Python and some frameworks like Torch7/tensorflow. In the field of object detection, I’ve known about several state-of-the-art approaches, such as the R-CNN (fast, faster), Inside-Outside Net, YOLO Net etc. Besides, I’ve also learnt about the source code (caffe) of Fast R-CNN and reimplemented it by Torch7. As for videos, I implemented a system for action detection in untrimmed videos with visual attention and reinforcement learning. Based on this experiment, our paper has been accepted in ICME2017.

I have equipped myself with extensive experience. I have worked as a software engineer intern at Microsoft (2015/07-2015/09) as well as Alibaba (2016/04-2016/07) where I got my skills well practiced.

I'm eager to work with you in this wonderful program and looking forward to hear from you.

Hi Xiongtao,

It would be great if you could start by using the library yourself, go through the examples and develop something along the line of the idea you want to apply for. That would help us better understand your skills for the project.
