I signed up and started using the polling place look and everything I tried was returning "error":"No polling place found.". Then I tried the values from the example:

http://services.dnc.org/places/lookup.jsonp?address=2005%20Pimmit%20Dr&postal_code=22043&key=MY_KEY

And I also get:

{"region":"VA","voter_information":"http://www.sbe.virginia.gov/cms/Voter_Information/Index.html","region_name":"Virginia","phone":"8005529745","website":"http://www.sbe.virginia.gov/cms/","error":"No polling place found."}

Is this API still supported or should I go elsewhere to find polling place information?

I strongly recommend using the google API:

I do not believe any of the DNC APIs are still maintained.

I looked at the google civic information and according to the forum (and my tests) the data (for the general election 4000) isn't available yet, and data for the test election (2000) is only sparsely populated (
NC, KS, MN, PA, WV, OH, MS, NE, DE, SC, and MT). I don't suppose there is another API available anywhere?

We’ve built a ballot box finder for WA state.  An early prototype is at: http://www.wuxx.com/test/BallotBoxes/  (try using zip codes 98101, 98105, 98112, or 98052.)

Please feel free to ping me directly (RobD...@wuxx.com) if you would like more info.

‘Best—
