Since 2015, the European Data Portal (EDP) is the European Commission’s initiative aimed at increasing the impact of open data.
Open data has a high potential to save time and costs, increase efficiency and support informed decision-making. To understand the value of open data better, we are investigating its economic benefits. In 2015, we published our first report: “Creating value through Open Data”. The report showcased the impact in the EU and the value for selected companies that are already leveraging the potential of open data.
In early 2020, the EDP will publish the second iteration of the report. By taking part in this survey you support our research. You may respond anonymously. Alternatively, you can volunteer to be interviewed and your experience may be documented directly in the final report.
